Santa!! I Know Him!!!

Santa Claus is coming to town — that is, after he wraps up his rounds of Santa photos all around the Northwest and Puget Sound Region. Have you visited Santa this season yet? Here are a few of our favorite photos past and present.

Pumpkin Patches in the Northwest

Pumpkin patches are a great way to spend time with your family. Most pumpkin patches are not just pumpkin patches, but offer an array of commodities and activities. From pumpkins to corn mazes, and fresh eggs to duck races, there are so many things to see at these farms! Here are a few popular autumn time attractions to explore with your family and friends this season:

King County

Baxter Barn – Fall City

Not only are there pumpkins to pick, but ponies to ride and farm animals to see. Kids get a free pumpkin with a parent, making it great fun for the whole family! There are fresh eggs for sale in the barn so you can enjoy the farm at home. Be sure to check out all Baxter Barn’s details!

Dr. Maze’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Farm – Redmond

This organic farm lies not far outside the quaint town of Redmond. Dr. Maze’s forte is… well mazes! You’ll find mazes made of corn, straw, and hay. There are farm animals  to visit and of course lots of pumpkins to pick! Make it a fun day trip!

Snohomish County

Bob’s Corn – Snohomish

This farm has got it goin’ on! They celebrate three-day weekends all fall long opening at 3 pm for the fun activities kicking off on Fridays! The farm offers free hayrides to the middle of their pumpkin fields, where you can sort through over 50 varieties of pumpkins. After you have chosen your pumpkins, be sure to try one of Bob’s famous Apple Donuts, walk the corn maze, and much more!

The Farm at Swan’s Trail – Snohomish

At this very festive farm you will find many events taking place. Pick the plumpest pumpkin and juiciest apple, enjoy shows and races put on by the farm animals, and find your way through the corn maze. You may find the corn maze layout somewhat familiar because it is shaped as Washington State!

Skater’s Holiday: Figure 8’s in the Northwest

Ice skating is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and include great additions to family outings! There are a few places around the Puget Sound to go!

Northwest Love

The first one is the rink that is part of Seattle’s Winterfest. The ice rink is right in the center of the Seattle Center at Fisher Pavillion, with floor to ceiling windows, it allows for a great view of the fountain while you skate! Starting November 23rd – January 6th, (exceptions to holidays), adults: $7, children 6 – 12: $5, and under 5: $2. This is CASH ONLY, so be sure to come prepared; cost does include skate rental.

Go a little further south to the Tacoma Art Museum for the 3rd annual Franciscan Polar Plaza! Starting November 22nd – January 12th. Make an outing of it and enjoy the art museum before making figure 8’s out on the ice! Adults: $8 & Children under 5: $4, Skate Rental: $2. They have special events going on throughout the season, so check out their web page!

Seattle Center

Bellevue has a great outdoor skating arena in the downtown park, with sweeping views of downtown and specials events all throughout the season! Starting November 29th – January 12th, Adults:$12, Children 6 and under $8, includes skate rentals. Checkout the website for all the details!
